What exactly am I buying?

A subscription to Shot Caddy Pro. It is a digital software service: there is no physical product and nothing is shipped. Pro removes the free tier's record caps and adds the Analysis (AI) module, a monthly AI credit allowance, and every future Pro module.

Is there a free version?

Yes. The free tier holds 2 firearms, 3 ammo types, 2 handload recipes, 4 accessories, 6 components. Range sessions are unlimited on every tier, and you can export your full database at any time, on any tier.

What is the difference between monthly and yearly?

Only the billing frequency. Yearly is the same plan prepaid for twelve months, which works out to two months free, and your rate is locked against future price increases while the yearly plan stays active.

How does the 7-day trial work?

Sign up and use Pro free for 7 days. A payment method is collected when the trial starts, but nothing is charged until day 7. If you do not cancel before then, your subscription begins automatically at the plan you selected. One free trial per customer.

Why is the price different on my iPhone?

Because Apple sets and collects the price for purchases made inside the app. Bought here through Stripe, Pro is $8 per month or $80 per year. Bought through Apple's in-app purchase, it is $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. The plan is the same either way.

How do AI credits work?

Pro includes 50 AI credits per month for the Analysis module. They reset at the start of each calendar month and do not roll over. If you need more, credit packs are available in the app at $4.99 for 50 credits or $19.99 for 250; purchased credits never expire, roll over, and survive cancellation. Spending uses your monthly allowance first. Packs can only be bought while a Pro subscription is active.

Does Shot Caddy work without an internet connection?

Yes. Your logbook lives on your device and keeps working at the range with no signal. An account is needed to sync across devices, to manage a subscription, and to use the AI features, which require a connection.

Who will appear on my bank statement?

It depends where you bought. For a purchase on this website, Stripe is our Merchant of Record and a Stripe descriptor appears rather than Precision Sports AI. For a purchase made inside the iPhone app, Apple bills you and the charge appears from Apple.

How do I cancel?

Where you bought it is where you cancel. A subscription bought on this website is cancelled in the app or from the receipt Stripe emails you, and our 14-day refund policy applies. A subscription bought through Apple is managed in your App Store subscription settings, and refunds for it are Apple's to grant, not ours. Either way you keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for.

What happens to my data if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted. Your account reverts to the free tier, which means only the first records you created in each category stay visible — the rest are hidden, not erased, and reappear the moment you resubscribe. You can export your full database at any time, on any tier, including before you cancel.

Does Shot Caddy use AI, and what does it send?

Yes. The Analysis module and the firearm, load and product lookups send a redacted copy of your logbook through Lovable's AI Gateway to a third-party model. Serial numbers, photos and identity fields are stripped before anything is transmitted; the rest of your logbook, including the notes you write on sessions and equipment, is sent, because that is what the analysis reads. The answers are estimates generated from your own records, not published reference data.

Can Shot Caddy see what firearms I own?

Serial numbers and every photo you take are stored on your device only and are never uploaded. The rest of your logbook syncs if you sign in, labelled with a random identifier rather than your name or email, and your account details are held separately from it.

Do you track me across the web?

No. There are no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs and no cross-site tracking cookies in the app or on this site. Only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and run the service are used.

Is my logbook data ever shared?

Your logbook is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own use. It is shared only with the processors needed to run the service — hosting, payments, the map and weather lookups, and the AI model — all of which are listed by name in our Privacy Policy.

Does Shot Caddy publish load data?

No. Shot Caddy is a record-keeping tool, not a reference manual. Every handload value in your logbook is one you entered yourself. Always work from current published data from the powder and component manufacturers.

Does Shot Caddy sell firearms or ammunition?

No. Shot Caddy is record-keeping software only. We do not sell, ship, broker, transfer or facilitate the sale of firearms, ammunition, components or any other regulated goods. The only thing purchasable is a software subscription.

How is my plan delivered after I pay?

Instantly and digitally. As soon as the payment is confirmed, Pro unlocks on your Shot Caddy account and your receipt is emailed. There is no physical shipment and no delivery time.
