Terms of Service

1. What we provide

Shot Caddy is a software service for logging shooting sessions and tracking firearms, accessories, ammunition, handload recipes and components. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own record keeping. No physical goods are sold and nothing is shipped.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the records you enter. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, and you are responsible for lawfully owning and possessing anything you record.

3. Free and Pro

Shot Caddy has a free tier and one paid plan, Shot Caddy Pro. The free tier holds 2 firearms, 3 ammo types, 2 handload recipes, 4 accessories, 6 components. Range sessions are unlimited on every tier, Free included. Your full database is exportable at any time, on any tier.

Pro removes those caps and adds the Analysis (AI) module together with a monthly AI credit allowance. There is no other paid tier; the former Basic tier was retired on 31 August 2026 and is no longer offered.

4. Subscriptions, billing and renewal

Shot Caddy Pro is billed monthly or yearly. The price depends on where you buy it. Purchased on this website through Stripe, Pro is $8 USD per month or $80 USD per year. Purchased through Apple's in-app purchase inside the iPhone app, Pro is $9.99 USD per month or $99.99 USD per year, at the price Apple sets and collects. Yearly is a prepaid billing frequency of the same plan, not a separate plan, and a yearly rate bought from us is held against future price increases while the yearly term stays active.

Every new subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. A payment method is collected when the trial starts. No charge is taken until the trial ends. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected plan is charged automatically at the end of the 7-day period and your subscription begins. Cancel before then and you are not charged. One free trial per customer.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until cancelled. For purchases made on this website, our order process is conducted by our Merchant of Record, Stripe, Inc., which collects payment, calculates and remits applicable taxes, and issues invoices. Stripe — not Precision Sports AI LLC — is the party you contract with for the payment itself, and a Stripe descriptor appears on your statement. Stripe's consumer terms are published at stripe.com/legal/consumer. For purchases made inside the mobile app, Apple or Google is the seller and bills you under its own terms.

5. Where you bought it is where you cancel

You may cancel at any time, and access continues to the end of the period you already paid for. A subscription bought on this website is cancelled inside the app or from the receipt Stripe emails you, and our refund policy applies to it. A subscription bought through Apple is managed in your App Store subscription settings, not by Precision Sports AI LLC, and any refund for it is Apple's to grant under Apple's own policies — we cannot refund an Apple charge. The same applies to purchases made through Google Play.

6. AI credits

Pro includes 50 AI credits each month for the Analysis module. Included credits reset at the start of each calendar month and do not roll over. Additional credit packs — $4.99 for 50 credits and $19.99 for 250 credits — are one-time purchases that do not renew. Purchased credits never expire, roll over month to month, and survive cancellation. Spending draws down your included monthly credits first, then any credits you have bought. Credit packs can be bought only while a Pro subscription is active. If your subscription lapses you can still spend a balance you already bought.

7. Not a reference manual

Shot Caddy publishes no load data. Every handload value in your logbook — powder, charge weight, primer, seating depth and everything else — is a value you entered yourself, and the app reproduces it back to you without checking it. Output from the Analysis (AI) module consists of estimates generated from your own records.

Reloading and handloading are inherently dangerous. Always work from current published data issued by the powder, primer, bullet and firearm manufacturers, and never treat anything shown in Shot Caddy as load data, a safety check, or a substitute for that published guidance.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use Shot Caddy for unlawful purposes, attempt to break or reverse engineer the service, resell access, or upload content that infringes the rights of others. You are solely responsible for complying with all firearms, ammunition, reloading and record keeping laws that apply to you.

Shot Caddy is record-keeping software only. We do not sell, ship, broker, transfer, advertise or facilitate the sale of firearms, ammunition, components, or any other regulated or age-restricted goods, and the app provides no marketplace, classifieds or transfer functionality. The only thing purchasable from us is a software subscription.

9. Your content

Your logbook data is yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to store, sync and display it back to you, and — when you use the AI features — to transmit a redacted copy of it to our AI provider so those features can answer. We do not sell your personal data or share your individual logbook contents with advertisers. We may create and use de-identified, aggregated data derived from usage, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

If your subscription ends, nothing is deleted. Your account reverts to the free tier and records beyond the free tier's caps are hidden rather than erased; they reappear if you resubscribe. Your full database remains exportable at any time, on any tier.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Shot Caddy is provided "as is". It is a record keeping and analysis aid, not safety equipment, load data, or legal advice, and it does not replace manufacturer guidance, safe handling practices, or any legally required documentation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid for your Shot Caddy subscription in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, and will give notice where reasonably possible.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept them. Because the app links to this page rather than embedding the text, the version published here is always the current one.

13. General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refunds, Cancellation & Delivery policy, are the entire agreement between us about Shot Caddy. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the exclusive venue for any dispute is the state and federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
